Over a period of 20 years Mrs. Gordon was the Head of IVF Services in Bristol before going on to set up her own clinic, and she was also the Consultant Senior Lecturer with the University of Bristol. Mrs. Gordon was the module lead for infertility and assisted reproduction technologies for the internationally renowned ReD MSc. Her extensive experience includes the highest level of expertise in assisted conception techniques such as In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
Throughout her career Mrs. Gordon has maintained an active role as a training supervisor in her field. In addition to her involvement with the University of Bristol postgraduate education and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), she also organises and speaks at annual Study Days for GPs in the area of Infertility and IVF/ICSI services. She has many publications and book chapters to her credit and she is also internationally recognised for her work on the role of gonadotrophins in ovarian stimulation, which resulted in her MD thesis at Trinity College Dublin.
Mrs. Gordon is the immediate ex-Chair for the Andrology SIG (Special Interest Group) of the British Fertility Society which is involved in increasing awareness, education, training and research in relation to male health and fertility aspects. The British Fertility Society is considered the most prestigious society in the fertility sector, formulating guidance and policies for patients. Mrs. Gordon has been involved in organising the British Fertility Society and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Professional Development and Training Courses for reproductive medicine specialists in the UK.
Mrs. Gordon has established free fertility service ‘Sai Fertility’ for underserved rural population in South India, and since 2023 has been offering free IVF/ICSI treatments in batches. Several babies are now born with an established successful on-going program.
